VallesFamily > After antique shopping we went to a place that makes the very tastiest Schnaps. This is the entrance into the bathrooms. I thought this was so cool, it's a huge wiskey barrel that they made into an archway
VallesFamily > This is the table that I bought at the Salvation Army for $40, it's absolutely gorgeous! I initially thought I would paint it and use it next to my bed, but when I got home and cleaned it up I could never paint it.
VallesFamily > Just a frame I got at the Salvation Army
VallesFamily > This is an old garden landern that I bought at the Salvation Army. I removed the wiring and put a candle in it. It was painted bright green, but I sponged some black over it and now it looks like its aging brass. It has amber glass with circles. It's hanging in my kitchen now, but I'm not sure where I should put it.
VallesFamily > My best Salvation Army shop find so far. A friend of mine who knows antiques told me that she thinks its over 200 years old (based on the hinges, woodwork etc.) and I paid $150
VallesFamily > It's an old kitchen cabinet that I assume was used to make bread. The drawer pulls out and holds two bowls, while the top lifts off to reveal a wood tray lined with metal, I assume where they kneaded bread. This piece also lifts completely out for cleaning.
VallesFamily > We have it sitting in the corner of our family room and hung our Schnapps cabinet over it.
VallesFamily > I've started collecting this transfer ware that I find at the Salvation Army for super cheap. I'm completely addicted and Matt wants to know "how many people exactly are we having for dinner." It doesn't all match, but that's what makes it so easy to get, and in the end, nobody would notice anyway.
VallesFamily > Another Salvation Army find. I love this Italian pitcher. I don't think you could lift it with water in it because it's so big and heavy.
