VallesFamily > These are pictures that we took in the Masai Mara, a game reserve in Kenya on the boarder of Tanzania. In Tanzania it's called the Serengeti. We drove and it's about a 5 hour trip from Nairobi. We stayed two nights, taking game drives every day. It's a very surreal experience.
VallesFamily > Everyday we were lucky enough to see elephant herds. You have to be careful with elephants because they can charge if they feel threatened.

VallesFamily > An interesting thing we learned about elephants, there is an alpha female that controls the whole group. Mostly they like to hang out in the woods.

VallesFamily > Matteo cut his hair!
VallesFamily > We were extremely fortunate to spot lion prides every day. Completely opposite of the elephants, the male sits around sleeping all day waiting for the females to bring him food - no comment!
VallesFamily > Another interesting thing we learned, there are many females in a pride, but they all share their babies, including nursing them. This day, this female was in charge of about 15 cubs while the others lounged around.
