Kennedy set us up with his cousin, who is associated with a church close to Kibera Slum, the largest slum in Kenya. It's estimated to have 850,000 people living there, with 25,000 orphans. I can't imagine that number is accurate as it seems it would be impossible to count. It wouldn't surprise me if it was much higher than that. People moving from the country to Nairobi in hopes of making big money usually start here, including Kennedy. Shockingly enough, people actually pay to live in the slums, giving "slum lord" a new definition. This is our tour group standing in the courtyard of the church.
