VallesFamily > Inside the classroom. There are 45 students ranging in age from 10 to 50. Its a bit different in Kenya because public education was only free beginning 2 years ago so most people couldn't afford education. Even now it's expensive for them because they have to buy uniforms, books etc. You pass onto the next grade by taking an exam. A lot of kids study from their friends books and just pay to take the exam. Sometimes it takes them years and years to just get a primary education, only because of money. They are super sweet, love having the chance to go to school, and really love having the Mzungu teaching them. It's amazing how motivated ot learn they are.

VallesFamily > Walking to the "main office" from the classroom. There are always kids running around and as usual are very excited to see the Mzungu. I made the mistake of giving them candy once!
